The Power of Three

We introduce:

• a template for writing short constructed responses in ALL SUBJECTS including precise nouns, powerful verbs, and a 3-point rubric that helps develop critical thinking skill
• practical techniques for paraphrasing, summarizing, and synthesizing what is heard, read, and viewed
• The Big Three – Organizers that connect reading, writing, and viewing in all subjects
• strategies for developing color-coded word walls (purple for nouns, green for verbs, pink for adjectives, blue for adverbs)

We introduce:

• multi-sensory games for developing paragraphs to support major organizational patterns
• first and second grade: (time order, space order, definition, description, comparative, and opinion)
• grades three to high school:
